(The American Journal of Occupational Therapy, agosto de 2020, Vol. 74, Supl. Each evaluation will utilize objective and standardized testing measures. Most evaluations are completed in 1 hour. Part of that time will be spent assessing your child and the rest will be utilized to speak with the parent/guardian present to collect additional information needed in addition to formal measures. We will also use the time to explain the results of the evaluation, provide any additional information, and answer any questions. Please note, that evaluations will vary from child to child (depending on age, capabilities, and/or physical/mental development). We strive to conduct each evaluation to minimize stress for the child and hope that it becomes a positive experience that the child enjoys. For this to succeed, your child might need information about the evaluation ahead of time.
